Privacy Policy

The “BP Rhythm” app for Android (ru.ivanovvl.ritmdavleniya), called “Ритм давления” in Russian. Version 3 of 14.10.2026. This is a translation; if it differs from the Russian version, the Russian version prevails.

1. Who we are

The app is developed by individual entrepreneur Vladimir Leonidovich Ivanov (OGRNIP 322774600622729), hereinafter the developer. Contact: vladivv@bk.ru.

2. In short

RuStore and Google Play builds

The app is distributed through RuStore and Google Play. The Google Play build has no Xiaomi account sign-in, no download from the Xiaomi and iHealth cloud and no “Plus” subscription: the “Xiaomi account” and “Subscription” sections below, and reading other apps’ blood pressure from Health Connect, do not apply to it. The Google Play build does not connect to any server: data leaves the phone only to Health Connect and in an email to the developer that you send yourself. Installation and updates are handled by Google Play under Google’s terms; the developer receives no information about you or your readings from Google, except anonymous install and crash statistics in the Google Play Console.

3. What data and why

Readings

Blood pressure, pulse, the arrhythmia indicator, the time of the reading, the blood pressure monitor name and your notes. They are stored in the app’s database on your phone and are used for the log, charts, statistics and reminders. This is health data; it is processed on your phone with your consent, which you give on first launch.

Xiaomi account (optional, RuStore build only)

To download readings of the Andon KD-5907 monitor, you sign in to your Xiaomi account on a Xiaomi page opened in the app. The password is entered on the Xiaomi website; the app does not store it. After sign-in the app keeps the Xiaomi session keys on the phone, encrypted (Android Keystore), and uses them to contact the Xiaomi and iHealth servers directly (account.xiaomi.com, api.io.mi.com) for the device list and readings. The developer does not receive the keys or account data. Processing of data on the Xiaomi and iHealth servers is governed by their own policies. “Sign out” in the settings deletes the keys from the phone.

Camera

The scanner photographs the monitor’s display and recognises the digits on the phone. Frames are not sent anywhere, except when you send them to the developer yourself (see “Email to support”).

Health Connect

If you turn on writing to Health Connect and grant permissions, the app writes blood pressure and pulse there (they are read, for example, by EMIAS.INFO, the Moscow health app) and reads blood pressure records — only to avoid writing a reading that another app has already written. In the RuStore build, if you have the “Plus” subscription and turn on “Take blood pressure from Health Connect” (Settings → Integrations), the app reads blood pressure and pulse written to Health Connect by other apps (for example, Omron Connect or Samsung Health) and saves them to the log on the phone. Data from Health Connect is not shared with third parties, not used for advertising and not used for anything other than these features.

Notifications

Reminders to measure blood pressure are local alarms on the phone.

Email to support

The “Contact the developer” button opens your email app with a prepared message: your text and technical information — app version, phone model and Android version, settings, the state of reminders and background tasks, the number of readings and the time of the last one, and the app’s event log. The email contains no blood pressure values, passwords or session keys. You see the whole email before sending, and you send it. If the scanner cannot read your monitor, you can attach frames captured by the scanner with the “Save frames for debugging” button — only if you select them in the form yourself or tap “Send frames to the developer” in the scanner. Frames are saved cropped to the monitor display (in greyscale); if the display is not found — in full. The frames show blood pressure readings, so before the email the app shows these frames and asks for separate consent to send them. The email contains the frames and the app’s analysis of them. The developer uses them only to teach the scanner to read your monitor model, keeps them on his computer and in the private repository of the app’s automated tests (not published) and deletes them at your request. The developer uses the email only to reply and fix bugs and deletes it at your request.

Subscription (RuStore build only)

The subscription is paid through RuStore (VK LLC). Payment data is processed by RuStore; the developer receives only purchase information (identifier and status) to enable paid features.

4. What we do not collect

Location, contacts, the list of apps, advertising identifiers, analytics data. There are no ads in the app.

5. Storage and deletion

The log is kept while the app is installed. Deleting a manual entry in the log also deletes it from Health Connect. Uninstalling the app deletes the log, settings and session keys from the phone; what was written to Health Connect stays there until you delete it in Health Connect. Before deleting, you can save the log to CSV (Settings → Export).

6. Your rights

At any time you can sign out of the Xiaomi account, revoke camera, notification and Health Connect permissions in Android settings, export and delete the log. For questions about data processing and to withdraw consent, write to vladivv@bk.ru; withdrawing consent on the phone means deleting the app or the log.

7. Not a medical device

The app is a diary: it does not diagnose or prescribe treatment. WHO blood pressure categories are for reference only. Treatment decisions are made by a doctor.

8. Changes

A new version is published on this page. If the data being processed changes, the app will ask you to accept the policy again or ask for separate consent where this data is shared.
